Virtual classrooms: “live” lessons remotely
Taking lessons in a virtual classroom means that you do not have to travel and you can participate in the lesson wherever you are, with your computer, tablet or smartphone. Any location is possible, as long as you have a stable internet connection.You communicate with your language trainer using a headset with an integrated microphone and a webcam. The entire lesson process takes place in a user-friendly application that is comparable to a high-tech videoconference facility geared towards training.
You mainly engage in active conversation exercises or productive simulations, but you can also make notes together on the whiteboard, do exercises, edit (your own) documents, visit websites and share screens. And you can do all of this online! At the end of the lesson, you can save all the used or edited documents on your computer in just a few seconds. The entire lesson can also be recorded, so you can watch it again later by clicking on a link. This is also a very convenient feature for absent students!
In order to maximise students’ opportunities to speak in the virtual classroom, we recommend limiting the number of students to 5 per group. This enables everyone to see each other with their webcam and speak to each other spontaneously as in a normal face-to-face conversation. If you want more persons per group, of course this can also be arranged.
Blended learning: e-learning combined with online exercises
You combine the virtual live lessons with online exercises on our learning platform. We have a wide range of interactive listening, reading and writing exercises ready for you, from which we can make a selection that is tailored to your needs.
If you want to get better at writing fluent e-mails or making professional phone calls in French, for example, you can learn the perfect formulas for your e-mails or phone conversations at your own pace and put your newly acquired knowledge into practice during your live lesson in our virtual classroom. You will notice immediately how efficient this combination is.
